Helping Children Make Sense of the Routine

To help the children learn the routine, place a chart (you could represent this as a train or caterpillar etc.), on the wall listing all the periods in a day, written in simple words (lower case), together with photographs of the children taking part in the activity.
An example - add others relevant to your own setting You may wish to show how some parts of the routine last longer than others, by creating bigger boxes or more pictures.
